38, 39, 40

How far along: Today I'm 40w3d.  OVER DUE!

Physical symptoms: I was feeling pretty good during week 39!  Far less pelvic pain, easier to be up and around.  It was nice.  Today hit me like a ton of bricks.  I don't know if it's hot outside or what, but all the uncomfortableness is back.  I'm glad I had a few days of feeling good though because I got more things done around the house.  Bouncing and rolling my hips on a yoga ball helps a lot.  Still 1cm dialated and about 60% effaced at my 39w and 40w appointments.  So not really any progression.  They an feel his head though, so he is super low. Also my poor swollen feet....

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've definitely lost track, but with all of the swelling I've gained a ton in the last month or so.  Hopefully that water weight goes away quickly after delivery!

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  They are still fitting though for the most part.

Stretch marks: Yup.  Just on my tummy though.

Sleep: Sleep is still really rough.  I have horrible hip and pelvic pain that keeps me up and makes moving around at night really painful.

Best moment last week:  I just sat in the nursery looking around in amazement.  All of these things ready for our son, our little person who we have waited so long for.  It still feels surreal a lot of the time.  I'm not sure I'll fully believe it until he is here in my arms.  It was fun to just sit in the nursery though.

Movement: Moves all the time, especially at night of course.  I can't believe that he still has room in there to move around.  Sometimes he moves so roughly that it actually hurts!  Last night I was sure with all of his crazy moving it would break my water.  No such luck!

Cravings:  Really nothing anymore.  I've been more hungry again in the last week or so.  Probably because he has moved down and opened up some more room.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Still just dilated at 1cm as of my appointment on 5/5/14.  I had some cramping this weekend, but it pretty much went away when I remembered to catch up on water drinking.  The braxton hicks contractions had all but stopped, but I did have a couple today.  Really nothing to time and nothing painful.  Sometimes the tightening makes my stomach feel like a sore muscle though.

Belly button: It's flat.  Hasn't turned into an outie yet, but isn't really an innie anymore either.

What I miss: Still missing mobility and independence.  It's weird asking for help for things I can normally do.  It's weird and uncomfortable how slow I have to move sometimes due to the pelvic pain. Also missing hanging with my friends.

What I am looking forward to: Meeting Blake!  Getting anxious about labor and making it through.  But ultimately I'm ready to meet our little boy!

Milestones:  Full term and now over due!  There is only one possible milestone left...delivery!

Hopefully my last picture with my mommy before becoming a mommy!

33, 34, 35, 36, 37

How far along: Today I'm 37w6d!

Physical symptoms: Things are getting progressively more uncomfortable.  I have a lot of pelvic pain and hip pain, especially at night.  It keeps me up and sleep sucks.  I get tired pretty easily, but I'm trying to keep active.  Ay my 36w appointment I had my first cervical check- pretty thin and soft but not dilated.  37w I was dilated to 1cm and 50% effaced.  38w was no change from that.  I'm trying to pick up my walking game this week to move things along.  I'm ready to meet him!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I've lost track.  I'm probably up about 15 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  They are still fitting though for the most part.

Stretch marks: Yup.  Just on my tummy though.

Sleep: Sleep is really rough.  I have horrible hip and pelvic pain that keeps me up and makes moving around at night really painful.

Best moment last week:  So many amazing things have happened.  I had my ultrasound at 36w5d.  Blake is measuring pretty big, especially his head.  They estimated that he was 7lb 14oz already, but his big head measurement might be throwing that off already.  Here's my guy...look at those cheeks!

My wonderful Aunt Cheryl and my mom threw my family baby shower.  Blake got so many nice things.  It was fun to see family members and celebrate his upcoming arrival!

The nursery is officially complete!  Things are hung on the walls, everything is washed, drawers are organized.  I walk in there and just look around in amazement.  I sometimes can't believe it's real and we actually have a nursery and a baby boy on the way.
Nursery done!

Drawers all organized.

The downstairs is getting organized, too.  Pack n play and swing are set up, bottles have a home in the kitchen cabinets.  Seems like all we need is a little person to start using everything!

I've done a few more sewing projects for our man...a car seat cover, pretty burp cloths, and a few pacifier clips.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

Crafts!
Movement: Moves all the time, especially at night of course when I'm trying to sleep.  He gets the hiccups a lot, too, at least once a day.  Sometimes his kicks are so strong that they are startling!

Cravings:  Really nothing anymore.  Sometimes it is hard to eat, especially at night.  There's just no room for food in there!

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Dilated to 1cm as of my 37w and 38w cervical checks.  He's also pretty low.  My Dr. could feels his head at my 38w check.  I don't think I've had any contractions.  I'm ready and waiting!

Belly button: It's flat.  Hasn't turned into an outie yet, but isn't really an innie anymore either.

What I miss: Mobility and independence.  It's weird asking for help for things I can normally do.  It's weird and uncomfortable how slow I have to move sometimes due to the pelvic pain.

What I am looking forward to: Meeting Blake!  Getting anxious about labor and making it through.  But ultimately I'm ready to meet our little boy!

Milestones:  Nursery is done, showers are done, clothing is washed and hung, weekly appointments at the OB.  Not many milestones are left!

And just because they are too cute and need to be AW'd...

28, 29, 30, 31, 32

How far along: Today I'm 32w4d!  This post will cover weeks 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32.  My blogging commitment has failed.  Again.

Physical symptoms: Third tri exhaustion is in full force.  Some nights it's a stretch to make it until 9pm.  Over the last week or so I've also felt like I'm overdoing it more and more.  Especially today after I ran some errands, went grocery shopping, did some cleaning, and went on a walk.  WAYYY too much.  It's going to be hard to not do things on my own the way I'm used to.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: As of week 26, I was back to my original weight at my first OB appointment.  I've gained 6 pounds in the last month, so I'm +6 from my starting weight.

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  I got a couple new dresses that I'm really loving!

Stretch marks: Yup.  Just on my tummy though.

Sleep: Getting up to use the bathroom a lot.  One night was 4 times!

Best moment last week:  Gosh, where to even start.  I had the most amazing baby shower on March 1.  My friends and family seriously outdid themselves.  Blake was showered with amazing gifts and an awesome time with friends and family.  The girls who planned the shower seriously thought of ever little detail, including a gift (B pendant necklace) from Blake himself!  This is going to be one spoiled little boy!

The nursery is also almost complete.  The rocking chair is in place and pretty much all is left is hanging things on the wall, which will hopefully get done this weekend.  I've also been continuing to do some crafting, and made these nifty burp cloths!

Movement: Moving a lot most days.  He has an interesting little pattern.  He'll have 2 slower days and then BOOM back to being super active.  That day after being slow is almost painful with how strong he is!

Cravings:  Meh, cravings have gone away for the most part.  Fruit is still tasting pretty good!

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Sometimes my belly gets hard for a few seconds, especially at night.  Maybe this is the elusive braxton hicks contractions?!?

Belly button: Normal.  Yes I just touched it to see.

What I miss: Independence.  Over the last week I can definitely tell that I need to take it easy and not do all the things I usually do.  This is going to be tough!

What I am looking forward to: Family shower on the 29th!

Milestones:  1 shower done, nursery almost done.

P.S.  This is Ollie.  He jumped into my arms from the bushes outside the house on a super bitter cold day.  He is here to stay :)

25, 26, 27

I've been really bad at blogging...again.  Here we go!

How far along: Today I'm 27w3d!  This post will cover weeks 25, 26, and 27.  Hopefully I'll get better at this in the next couple weeks!  Baby was the size of a cauliflower in week 25, a head of lettuce in week 26, and a rutabaga (what is that?!?!) this week.

Physical symptoms: I can feel 2nd trimester winding down.  Over the last week I've been more tired again in the afternoons.  I can easily take a 2 hour nap and still go to bed by 9:30.  Dang I miss that energy already!  Heartburn and indigestion has really picked up, too.  Apparently that means baby has hair???  Wouldn't be surprised considering his parents...

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I was up 3 pounds between my 20w and 24w appointments.  This puts me down 2 from my first OB appointment.  Haven't weighed myself since 24w, but I'm sure I'll get an update at my appointment on Wednesday.

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  Still loving my dresses!

Stretch marks: The ones that were there pre-pregnancy are getting bigger  Yuck.

Sleep: My hips are hurting a lot and the heartburn is wicked at night.  Doing ok though.

Best moment last week:  I passed my glucose test!  Little guy is moving all over the place all day (and night!) long.  You can see and feel it from the outside on a regular basis.  He's not hanging out on my bladder as much, so he must have flipped around in there. I also made some wall art for the nursery.  I think they turned out pretty good!  Oh and B is for....BLAKE!  That's right, our baby has a name.  Blake Donald Schwindenhammer.  WOOHOO!

Movement: Holy movement!  Most days I can see and feel my stomach move on the regular.  He did have a quiet day last week that freaked me out a bit, but he snapped out of it the next day.

Cravings:  Pretty much the same things...fruit, juice, milk.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal.  Yes I just touched it to see.

What I miss: Nothing really.

What I am looking forward to: Shower on March 1!

Milestones:  Passed glucose test, feeling and seeing lots of movement, baby has a NAME!

22, 23, 24....

I have been such an awful blogger.  I've missed 3 weeks of posts!  They've been big weeks, too!  Here's what's shakin...

How far along: Today I'm 24w6d!  This post covers weeks 22-24 since I'm a horribly blogger.  At 22 weeks baby was as big as a Papaya.  At 23 weeks he was a grapefruit and 24 weeks a cantaloupe!  Growing like a weed!

Physical symptoms: Feeling so good these days.  No gagging in the morning, no food aversions.  Some days (especially weeks 22 and 23) I barely feel pregnant!  Over the last week or so I can really tell I'm getting bigger.  I have a hard time judging how I can fit into small spaces lol!  I got more tired than I expected when we were getting new carpet.  But overall, feeling great!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I was up 3 pounds between my 20w and 24w appointments.  This puts me down 2 from my first OB appointment.

Maternity clothes: Dresses!  OMG I may never go back!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleep has been ok.  Wake up in the night and sometimes have a really hard time going back to sleep.  This was normal pre-pregnancy, though!  My hips hurt from sleeping on my sides only.

Best moment last week:  There have been so many good moments over the last few weeks.  I passed viability day (24w)!!!  I had my 24 week OB appointment on 1/14/14.  My blood pressure is still normal and HR was normal on the doppler.  Next Tuesday I have my glucose test.  I could not ask for an easier pregnancy health wise!  Baby's movement has really picked up over the last week.  Yesterday I SAW my stomach move.  Alien baby in there!  He really likes to hang out on my bladder.  Thanks little dude.  We also got new carpet, with really means the nursery can be put together.  Oh and we painted!  Today, I got the invitation for my first shower.  It is adorable.  I'm so blessed to have such great friends and family!  Lots of stuff going on!

Movement: Movement has continued to pick up over the last week.  During weeks 22 and 23 I was worried it was slowing down.  I know it wasn't a legit worry, but still there.  I have an anterior placenta, so movement can be really inconsistent for awhile.  But starting with week 24 he is really going to town.  I saw my stomach move yesterday!

Cravings:  Fruit, milk, juice.  Yummmmmm.  Oh and pop tarts!

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing really right now.  Is that weird?  Just feeling so good.  It's nice :)

What I am looking forward to: Shower on March 1!

Milestones:So many...feeling more movement, saw movement, got baby shower invite, pass viability day, starting to really put the nursery together.
