38, 39, 40

How far along: Today I'm 40w3d.  OVER DUE!

Physical symptoms: I was feeling pretty good during week 39!  Far less pelvic pain, easier to be up and around.  It was nice.  Today hit me like a ton of bricks.  I don't know if it's hot outside or what, but all the uncomfortableness is back.  I'm glad I had a few days of feeling good though because I got more things done around the house.  Bouncing and rolling my hips on a yoga ball helps a lot.  Still 1cm dialated and about 60% effaced at my 39w and 40w appointments.  So not really any progression.  They an feel his head though, so he is super low. Also my poor swollen feet....

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I've definitely lost track, but with all of the swelling I've gained a ton in the last month or so.  Hopefully that water weight goes away quickly after delivery!

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  They are still fitting though for the most part.

Stretch marks: Yup.  Just on my tummy though.

Sleep: Sleep is still really rough.  I have horrible hip and pelvic pain that keeps me up and makes moving around at night really painful.

Best moment last week:  I just sat in the nursery looking around in amazement.  All of these things ready for our son, our little person who we have waited so long for.  It still feels surreal a lot of the time.  I'm not sure I'll fully believe it until he is here in my arms.  It was fun to just sit in the nursery though.

Movement: Moves all the time, especially at night of course.  I can't believe that he still has room in there to move around.  Sometimes he moves so roughly that it actually hurts!  Last night I was sure with all of his crazy moving it would break my water.  No such luck!

Cravings:  Really nothing anymore.  I've been more hungry again in the last week or so.  Probably because he has moved down and opened up some more room.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Still just dilated at 1cm as of my appointment on 5/5/14.  I had some cramping this weekend, but it pretty much went away when I remembered to catch up on water drinking.  The braxton hicks contractions had all but stopped, but I did have a couple today.  Really nothing to time and nothing painful.  Sometimes the tightening makes my stomach feel like a sore muscle though.

Belly button: It's flat.  Hasn't turned into an outie yet, but isn't really an innie anymore either.

What I miss: Still missing mobility and independence.  It's weird asking for help for things I can normally do.  It's weird and uncomfortable how slow I have to move sometimes due to the pelvic pain. Also missing hanging with my friends.

What I am looking forward to: Meeting Blake!  Getting anxious about labor and making it through.  But ultimately I'm ready to meet our little boy!

Milestones:  Full term and now over due!  There is only one possible milestone left...delivery!

Hopefully my last picture with my mommy before becoming a mommy!

33, 34, 35, 36, 37

How far along: Today I'm 37w6d!

Physical symptoms: Things are getting progressively more uncomfortable.  I have a lot of pelvic pain and hip pain, especially at night.  It keeps me up and sleep sucks.  I get tired pretty easily, but I'm trying to keep active.  Ay my 36w appointment I had my first cervical check- pretty thin and soft but not dilated.  37w I was dilated to 1cm and 50% effaced.  38w was no change from that.  I'm trying to pick up my walking game this week to move things along.  I'm ready to meet him!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I've lost track.  I'm probably up about 15 pounds.

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  They are still fitting though for the most part.

Stretch marks: Yup.  Just on my tummy though.

Sleep: Sleep is really rough.  I have horrible hip and pelvic pain that keeps me up and makes moving around at night really painful.

Best moment last week:  So many amazing things have happened.  I had my ultrasound at 36w5d.  Blake is measuring pretty big, especially his head.  They estimated that he was 7lb 14oz already, but his big head measurement might be throwing that off already.  Here's my guy...look at those cheeks!

My wonderful Aunt Cheryl and my mom threw my family baby shower.  Blake got so many nice things.  It was fun to see family members and celebrate his upcoming arrival!

The nursery is officially complete!  Things are hung on the walls, everything is washed, drawers are organized.  I walk in there and just look around in amazement.  I sometimes can't believe it's real and we actually have a nursery and a baby boy on the way.
Nursery done!

Drawers all organized.

The downstairs is getting organized, too.  Pack n play and swing are set up, bottles have a home in the kitchen cabinets.  Seems like all we need is a little person to start using everything!

I've done a few more sewing projects for our man...a car seat cover, pretty burp cloths, and a few pacifier clips.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

Crafts!
Movement: Moves all the time, especially at night of course when I'm trying to sleep.  He gets the hiccups a lot, too, at least once a day.  Sometimes his kicks are so strong that they are startling!

Cravings:  Really nothing anymore.  Sometimes it is hard to eat, especially at night.  There's just no room for food in there!

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Dilated to 1cm as of my 37w and 38w cervical checks.  He's also pretty low.  My Dr. could feels his head at my 38w check.  I don't think I've had any contractions.  I'm ready and waiting!

Belly button: It's flat.  Hasn't turned into an outie yet, but isn't really an innie anymore either.

What I miss: Mobility and independence.  It's weird asking for help for things I can normally do.  It's weird and uncomfortable how slow I have to move sometimes due to the pelvic pain.

What I am looking forward to: Meeting Blake!  Getting anxious about labor and making it through.  But ultimately I'm ready to meet our little boy!

Milestones:  Nursery is done, showers are done, clothing is washed and hung, weekly appointments at the OB.  Not many milestones are left!

And just because they are too cute and need to be AW'd...

28, 29, 30, 31, 32

How far along: Today I'm 32w4d!  This post will cover weeks 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32.  My blogging commitment has failed.  Again.

Physical symptoms: Third tri exhaustion is in full force.  Some nights it's a stretch to make it until 9pm.  Over the last week or so I've also felt like I'm overdoing it more and more.  Especially today after I ran some errands, went grocery shopping, did some cleaning, and went on a walk.  WAYYY too much.  It's going to be hard to not do things on my own the way I'm used to.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: As of week 26, I was back to my original weight at my first OB appointment.  I've gained 6 pounds in the last month, so I'm +6 from my starting weight.

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  I got a couple new dresses that I'm really loving!

Stretch marks: Yup.  Just on my tummy though.

Sleep: Getting up to use the bathroom a lot.  One night was 4 times!

Best moment last week:  Gosh, where to even start.  I had the most amazing baby shower on March 1.  My friends and family seriously outdid themselves.  Blake was showered with amazing gifts and an awesome time with friends and family.  The girls who planned the shower seriously thought of ever little detail, including a gift (B pendant necklace) from Blake himself!  This is going to be one spoiled little boy!

The nursery is also almost complete.  The rocking chair is in place and pretty much all is left is hanging things on the wall, which will hopefully get done this weekend.  I've also been continuing to do some crafting, and made these nifty burp cloths!

Movement: Moving a lot most days.  He has an interesting little pattern.  He'll have 2 slower days and then BOOM back to being super active.  That day after being slow is almost painful with how strong he is!

Cravings:  Meh, cravings have gone away for the most part.  Fruit is still tasting pretty good!

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Sometimes my belly gets hard for a few seconds, especially at night.  Maybe this is the elusive braxton hicks contractions?!?

Belly button: Normal.  Yes I just touched it to see.

What I miss: Independence.  Over the last week I can definitely tell that I need to take it easy and not do all the things I usually do.  This is going to be tough!

What I am looking forward to: Family shower on the 29th!

Milestones:  1 shower done, nursery almost done.

P.S.  This is Ollie.  He jumped into my arms from the bushes outside the house on a super bitter cold day.  He is here to stay :)

25, 26, 27

I've been really bad at blogging...again.  Here we go!

How far along: Today I'm 27w3d!  This post will cover weeks 25, 26, and 27.  Hopefully I'll get better at this in the next couple weeks!  Baby was the size of a cauliflower in week 25, a head of lettuce in week 26, and a rutabaga (what is that?!?!) this week.

Physical symptoms: I can feel 2nd trimester winding down.  Over the last week I've been more tired again in the afternoons.  I can easily take a 2 hour nap and still go to bed by 9:30.  Dang I miss that energy already!  Heartburn and indigestion has really picked up, too.  Apparently that means baby has hair???  Wouldn't be surprised considering his parents...

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I was up 3 pounds between my 20w and 24w appointments.  This puts me down 2 from my first OB appointment.  Haven't weighed myself since 24w, but I'm sure I'll get an update at my appointment on Wednesday.

Maternity clothes: Obviously in all maternity clothes.  Still loving my dresses!

Stretch marks: The ones that were there pre-pregnancy are getting bigger  Yuck.

Sleep: My hips are hurting a lot and the heartburn is wicked at night.  Doing ok though.

Best moment last week:  I passed my glucose test!  Little guy is moving all over the place all day (and night!) long.  You can see and feel it from the outside on a regular basis.  He's not hanging out on my bladder as much, so he must have flipped around in there. I also made some wall art for the nursery.  I think they turned out pretty good!  Oh and B is for....BLAKE!  That's right, our baby has a name.  Blake Donald Schwindenhammer.  WOOHOO!

Movement: Holy movement!  Most days I can see and feel my stomach move on the regular.  He did have a quiet day last week that freaked me out a bit, but he snapped out of it the next day.

Cravings:  Pretty much the same things...fruit, juice, milk.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal.  Yes I just touched it to see.

What I miss: Nothing really.

What I am looking forward to: Shower on March 1!

Milestones:  Passed glucose test, feeling and seeing lots of movement, baby has a NAME!

22, 23, 24....

I have been such an awful blogger.  I've missed 3 weeks of posts!  They've been big weeks, too!  Here's what's shakin...

How far along: Today I'm 24w6d!  This post covers weeks 22-24 since I'm a horribly blogger.  At 22 weeks baby was as big as a Papaya.  At 23 weeks he was a grapefruit and 24 weeks a cantaloupe!  Growing like a weed!

Physical symptoms: Feeling so good these days.  No gagging in the morning, no food aversions.  Some days (especially weeks 22 and 23) I barely feel pregnant!  Over the last week or so I can really tell I'm getting bigger.  I have a hard time judging how I can fit into small spaces lol!  I got more tired than I expected when we were getting new carpet.  But overall, feeling great!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I was up 3 pounds between my 20w and 24w appointments.  This puts me down 2 from my first OB appointment.

Maternity clothes: Dresses!  OMG I may never go back!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleep has been ok.  Wake up in the night and sometimes have a really hard time going back to sleep.  This was normal pre-pregnancy, though!  My hips hurt from sleeping on my sides only.

Best moment last week:  There have been so many good moments over the last few weeks.  I passed viability day (24w)!!!  I had my 24 week OB appointment on 1/14/14.  My blood pressure is still normal and HR was normal on the doppler.  Next Tuesday I have my glucose test.  I could not ask for an easier pregnancy health wise!  Baby's movement has really picked up over the last week.  Yesterday I SAW my stomach move.  Alien baby in there!  He really likes to hang out on my bladder.  Thanks little dude.  We also got new carpet, with really means the nursery can be put together.  Oh and we painted!  Today, I got the invitation for my first shower.  It is adorable.  I'm so blessed to have such great friends and family!  Lots of stuff going on!

Movement: Movement has continued to pick up over the last week.  During weeks 22 and 23 I was worried it was slowing down.  I know it wasn't a legit worry, but still there.  I have an anterior placenta, so movement can be really inconsistent for awhile.  But starting with week 24 he is really going to town.  I saw my stomach move yesterday!

Cravings:  Fruit, milk, juice.  Yummmmmm.  Oh and pop tarts!

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing really right now.  Is that weird?  Just feeling so good.  It's nice :)

What I am looking forward to: Shower on March 1!

Milestones:So many...feeling more movement, saw movement, got baby shower invite, pass viability day, starting to really put the nursery together.

21 Weeks

21 WEEKS!

Baby is the size of a....Pomegranate!!!

How far along: 21w, 4d

Physical symptoms: Feeling pretty good.  Appetite is back for the most part.  Took advantage of that over Christmas!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost another pound (down 5 pounds total) according to my OB's scale. I think I've gained quite a bit over the last week with my appetite coming back and Christmas :)

Maternity clothes: Got some new Gap jeans for Christmas.  Love them!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleep has been going ok.  Waking up a lot as usual and sometimes have a hard time going back to sleep.  Snoogle pillow is finally helping out some with getting comfortable.

Best moment last week:  Ultrasound!  The anatomy scan was absolutely amazing.  They checked for all the main organs, blood flow in and out of the heart, things in the brain, etc.  Everything was perfect.  We could see our little boy's mouth moving like he was chewing.  His heart was pumping away and he was squirming all over the place!  The tech had a hard time getting some good pictures because he was so wiggly.  On the left his a face/body shot and on the right is his tiny little hand.  They estimated that he was measuring 4 days ahead at 21 weeks and weighs approximately 1 pound!

Movement: Movement has picked up over the last week or so.  Pretty much since the a/s.  Love feeling him every day!

Cravings:  Still loving fruit! No other cravings that I can really think of.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Not being so tired at night.  I feel so worn down!

What I am looking forward to: Shopping for paint and carpet.

Milestones: Perfect anatomy scan!

20 weeks...HALFWAY!

Baby is the size of a....Banana!!!

How far along: 20 weeks exactly!  I missed a post for 19 weeks.  Whoops!

Physical symptoms: Appetite is still come and go.  I have this pain in my right thigh.  My OB said it is the result of an irritate nerve and there's nothing that can be done.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost another pound (down 5 pounds total) according to my OB's scale.

Maternity clothes: Nothing new really.  I did get some Boubeads finally!  See pic below.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: I have a hard time getting comfortable.  I know it will only get worse.  I got a snoogle pillow awhile ago, but I move around so much that it always gets tangled between my legs.  Going from a back/stomach sleeper to side is not fun!

Best moment last week:  This past week I've been working diligently on the baby nursery stuff.  I decided I was going to make all of the bedding.  So far I've made 2 pillows, a blanket, a crib skirt, and a valence.  It's turning out awesome!

I also had an OB appointment yesterday.  Baby's HB was 125 and everything checked out good.  I was supposed to have an ultrasound, but the tech was out sick.  It is rescheduled for Monday.

Movement: Still feeling baby daily, but not all day or anything yet.  Love that feeling already!

Cravings:  Still loving fruit! No other cravings that I can really think of.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Going out and doing things with friends.  I feel forgotten sometimes.

What I am looking forward to: Shopping for paint and carpet.

Milestones: Hitting the halfway point.  Working on the nursery!  Makes it feel a little more real.

18 weeks....kinda

Baby is the size of a....Sweet Potato!!!

How far along: 18 weeks, 6 days.  OMG I have been an awful blogger!  Still in the 18th week though lol!

Physical symptoms: Appetite has come back over the last couple of days, so that's good.  Other than that feeling pretty good.  My belly feels huge though!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I'm up a couple pounds (2-3).  I need to weigh myself tomorrow.

Maternity clothes: In all maternity stuff at this point except for my black pants that were huge before I got pregnant.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleeping is getting a bit more uncomfortable.  I keep waking up on my back.  I know at some point that's not safe, but I hope it's ok for now....

Best moment last week:  We worked on our registry and scanned stuff at BRU.  Holy overwhelming but fun to see all the stuff!  I also totally popped this week.  There is a noticable difference between my 17 week and my 18 week pictures.

Movement: Still feeling baby daily, but not all day or anything yet.  Love that feeling already!

Cravings:  Still loving fruit!  Sweet tooth is back a bit in the last couple days.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal
What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Within the next week I am going to decide on the nursery decor.  Then we can shop for paint and carpet!

Milestones: Still feel like every day is a milestone.  Some IFers that I keep in contact with have had it rough lately, and it is a tough reminder of what I went through.  But it also makes me forever thankful that I am here with a baby growing inside me.

17 weeks and THE BIG REVEAL

Baby is the size of an....ONION!!!

How far along: 17 weeks, 3 days

Physical symptoms: I'm feeling pretty good.  I really don't have much of an appetite though.  Sometimes I forget to eat or nothing sounds good.  I hope I'm giving baby enough to eat!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I'm up 1ish pound.

Maternity clothes: Actually starting to fill them out a bit with a real live bump!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleeping ok.  I still wake up a lot during the night but let's be honest, that was going on before I was pregnant lol!

Best moment last week:  On Sunday was the big reveal.  Is baby a BOY or a GIRL????  The party was amazing.  Parents, grandparents, MIL, and closest friends were there.  My friends who did the party did an amazing job.  Everything was decorated in blue and pink, including a sweets table and a divided drink dispenser with blue and pink juice!  We played a fun relay game and a old wives tale game that said the baby would be a boy.  And then it was time to CUT THE CAKE!!!  The answer was inside with either pink or blue frosting.  Baby Twinkle is a.....

Seeing Johnnie's face and happiness was truly amazing.  He has wanted a boy from the get go, so it was wonderful to see him so happy.  He tied a blue balloon to his belt loop and kept it on the rest of the day lol!

Movement: Still feeling baby almost every day.  Especially after lunch if I'm sitting quietly in my office or at night when I'm laying in bed.

Cravings:  Still loving fruit!

Gender: See above.  IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal
What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Making big decisions!  Nursery decor, paint colors, and new carpet are up next.  And registering within the next month!

Milestones: Finding out the sex...I'M GROWING A PEEN IN THERE!

16 weeks

16 weeks:  Baby is the size of an....AVOCADO!!!

How far along: 16 weeks, 3 days

Physical symptoms: Feeling good!  I slept really great last night and I'm definitely not as tired anymore.  Also have stopped dry heaving in the mornings!  WOOT!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Um at my OB appointment it appeared that I lost 4 pounds.  According to my home scale today, I've lost about 2.  Wowzers!

Maternity clothes: Pretty much in them most of the time.  My black dress pants still fit, but they were pretty big before I got pregnant.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleeping better.  It's really cold in my bedroom, but I used my electric blanket on low setting last night to take care of the chill and I slept great!

Best moment last week:  Went with Jorie and Betsy to BRU and BBB.  I got to take a look at some of the items that I have been looking at online.  Picked out a stroller that will be a shower gift and a diaper bag!  I also had an OB appointment on 11/19.  Everything looks perfect!  Bloodwork and blood pressure are both normal.  They also called today with my quad screening results...test was normal and baby has very low risk for tubal defects!

Movement: I'm 95% sure I'm definitely feeling movement.  Especially at night when I'm laying in bed.  Today I think I felt something when I was sitting quietly in my office.  It is seriously the most amazing feeling ever.  One of these days I'll stop tearing up every time it happens!

Cravings:  Cantaloupe.  How weird!

Gender: Will know on 12/1!  Less than a week away!  Someone said that my fruit cravings mean a boy.  We shall see!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Revel party on Dec 1!

Milestones: Definitely feeling movement.  In maternity clothes.  Passing OB appointments with flying colors!

15 weeks

Baby is the size of an....ORANGE!

How far along: 15 weeks, 2 days

Physical symptoms: I've felt pretty good the last couple of days.  Less gagging/dry heaving in the mornings.  Still getting pretty tired at night, but that wasn't unusual even before pregnancy lol.  Hopefully this is the 2nd tri feel goods that I hear about!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Avoided the scale again this week.  Just continuing to hope I haven't gained much!

Maternity clothes: I love maternity clothes!  So comfy!  Why do they even make real jeans?!?!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: I'd say I'm sleeping a little better.  Still getting up every night to pee, but going to sleep is a bit easier.  I also got a snoogle pillow and it ROCKS!

Best moment last week:  I went to Babies R Us and test drove some diaper bags.  It was really fun to look at stuff and realize that I'm actually going to need it!  Oh, I MAYBE felt movement.  Maybe.

Movement: I've felt some flutters here and there.  I know it could totally be gas.  But it could also totally be baby...

Cravings:  All I've wanted the past couple of days is a PB&J.  Had one tonight with a big glass of milk.  SOOOOO good!

Gender: I JUST WANT TO KNOW!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: I have an OB appointment on Tuesday, so hoping everything checks out good.  And of course the reveal party on Dec 1!

14 weeks

Baby is the size of a ....LIME!

How far along: 14 weeks, 2 days

Physical symptoms: I've had more nausea this past week than the entire previous 13 weeks!  I even threw up in the shower one morning (gross!).  The other mornings have been some dry heaving.  I thought symptoms were supposed to be going away at this point?  This morning was good, so hopefully that's the start of something!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I finally got on the scale.  OMG I have gained less than a pound! YAY!

Maternity clothes: I wore my super good deal gap maternity jeans yesterday and today.  So comfy!  I may never go back!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: I'd say I'm sleeping a little better.  Still getting up every night to pee, but going to sleep is a bit easier.

Best moment last week:  I haven't been quite as tired, so yesterday and today I went out with friends instead of sticking at home on the couch.  It was nice!

Movement: Still nothing obviously.  Sill using the doppler pretty regularly!  Baby is so easy to find now that he/she is bigger.

Food cravings: I really really really really really really really really really want a Steak N' Shake milkshake.  A friend mentioned it yesterday and now I can't stop thinking about it.  And there's a coupon in the paper today for buy one get on free.  Hopefully Johnnie will make a run tonight!

Gender: Still feeling girl.  Johnnie SO wants a boy though.  Makes me more on the fence :)

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Looking forward to getting the results from the Harmony test sometime this week.  And of course the big reveal on 12/1/13!

Milestones:  Pants are getting tight!  Every single day I can't even believe this is real.

12 Weeks

Baby is the size of a Plum...

How far along: 12 weeks, 3 days

Physical symptoms: Still pretty tired a lot of the time. Less irritable than before, but it's still there. Still nauseous some in the middle of the night, but less than last week. Still irritable and tired.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still avoiding the scale.

Maternity clothes: Some of my clothes are getting a little tight. The maternity shirts are super long and comfy! I'm sure I don't NEED maternity stuff yet, but I do have to use the rubber band trick with my khaki pants.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Nausea at night has been a little better, so I'm sleeping a little better.

Best moment last week: Having a great OB appointment and making it Facebook official! Now it's not a secret anymore :)

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything yet. BUT I can hear when the baby moves on the doppler! It sounds like clunks!

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not. I'm really liking milk.

Gender: Still feeling girl. The heartbeat was pretty high at my OB appointment (154 bpm), which means GIRL!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Having drinks with friends. I went to a campfire on Friday night and a wedding on Saturday night. Both were drinking events. I still had a good time, it was just different.

What I am looking forward to: I'm having the Harmony test done, so in just over 2 weeks the baby's SEX will be known! I have agreed to allow my friends to plan a SMALL gender reveal party, so that will be super fun and exciting. Date TBD.

Milestones: Making it Facebook official and seeing the OB like a regular pregnant person!

11 weeks

Baby is the size of a Lime...

How far along: 11 weeks, 2 days

Physical symptoms: Still irritable and tired.  Still nauseous in the middle of the night almost every night.  The last 3 days or so I've had some major food aversions.  I think something sounds good and then it gets in front of me and I can't eat it.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still avoiding the scale.

Maternity clothes: I've worn a couple maternity shirts just because they are super long and comfy.  I've been getting more bloated in the afternoon/evenings and my pants are getting tight then.  I did take a bloat picture this week last Wednesday.
Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Getting up at least once a night to pee.  Been nauseous in the night so that makes it tough to go back to sleep.

Best moment last week: I told my grandparents!  My grandma was so afraid she would never be a great-grandmother.  We cried.  They are so excited!   I also got the crib picked up that I bought and I seriously LOVE it!

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything yet.  BUT I can hear when the baby moves on the doppler!  It sounds like clunks!
Bloat!

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not.  I'm really liking milk.  Food aversions are there though!

Gender: Still feeling girl.  Some old wives tale predictors have said boy!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running and wine.

What I am looking forward to: I'm going to make my big Facebook announcement on Wednesday.  I also have my first OB appointment on Wednesday!  Woot!

Milestones:  Seriously every day feels like a milestone. Every day I'm more pregnant than I've ever been.  It's really real!

10 weeks

Baby is the size of a Prune...

How far along: 10 weeks, 1 day (Yup, I'm late again)

Physical symptoms: Still irritable and tired.  I've been nauseous in the middle of the night when I get up to go to the bathroom.  Still gassy.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still avoiding the scale.

Maternity clothes: I've worn a couple maternity shirts just because they are super long and comfy.  I've been getting more bloated in the afternoon/evenings and my pants are getting tight then.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Getting up at least once a night to pee.  Been nauseous in the night so that makes it tough to go back to sleep.

Best moment last week: I got my doppler on Friday and found the heartbeat!  Welcome to my new obsession!  Ignore the number reading.  The sound was too light for it to pick up properly.

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything yet.

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not.  I'm really liking milk.

Gender: Still feeling girl, but more unsure recently.

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running and wine.

What I am looking forward to: Actually getting a bump!

Milestones: As of Friday I am off all meds except for my prenatal vitamin.  I'm officially a normal pregnant person!  WOOT!  I also made my first big baby purchase today.  I bought a crib from a baby/kids Facebook group.  It's just over a year old and retails now for $250.  I got it for $140!  She's also including the mattress and bedding, which I don't want to use so I will promptly sell.  So I'm hoping with selling those things I'll come out to spend about $100, which is conveniently what I'm trying to sell my computer desk for.  Exciting stuff lol!

9 weeks

Baby is the size of an Olive...

How far along: 9 weeks, 1 day (sorry, I'm a day late!)

Physical symptoms: Still pretty irritable and tired.  Those are the only consistent things.  I've had a couple episodes of really painful, out of control gas.  Ugh.  Overall though, symptoms are pretty mild compared to what they could be.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I conveniently forgot to weigh myself ;)

Maternity clothes: Not needed yet, but some of the shirts from my hook up from Jorie are super comfy!  I need to focus on pants.  That is going to be difficult.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Getting up at least once a night to pee, but going back to sleep better.

Best moment last week: My 9 week ultrasound yesterday was
simply amazing.  Baby looks like a gummy bear.  My RE pointed out the 2 chambers that are visible in the heart and obviously you could see it pumping away.  Heart rate was 174.  Dr. said it is so high when they are this size because they are wiggling!  Baby has 2 arms and 2 legs.  He showed me where the straight spine was.  Then he said he only wants to see me one more time...with my baby in my arms.  Tears!  He says they love to see the babies after they come!  More hugs and then he was off to help the next couple who was there just starting their journey.  They looked so scared and I just wanted to hug them!  Johnnie couldn't be there, but he oodled over the pictures in amazement.  I love seeing him so excited!

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything, but SAW little one wiggling away on the ultrasound!

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not.

Gender: Still feeling girl, but more unsure recently.

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running and wine.

What I am looking forward to: Actually getting a bump!

Milestones: I officially graduated from the RE yesterday.  What a bittersweet moment!  I had my ultrasound first and then my last round of intralipids.  While I was sitting in the cell phone fortress doing intralipids (we shall not talk about the fact that it took 4 attempts for the IV, one of which was going for 45 minutes before we had to change locations), all the nurses and staff came back to see my ultrasound pictures and wish me well.  Cue tears AGAIN!  It so weird to be sent off to the land of normal pregnant women.   I have 1 more week of PIO, progesterone suppositories, and estrogen shots.  I'm weaning the steroid this week, too.  So as of next Friday, all I will take each day is my prenatal.  Holy smokes shit is real!
