21 Weeks

21 WEEKS!

Baby is the size of a....Pomegranate!!!

How far along: 21w, 4d

Physical symptoms: Feeling pretty good.  Appetite is back for the most part.  Took advantage of that over Christmas!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost another pound (down 5 pounds total) according to my OB's scale. I think I've gained quite a bit over the last week with my appetite coming back and Christmas :)

Maternity clothes: Got some new Gap jeans for Christmas.  Love them!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleep has been going ok.  Waking up a lot as usual and sometimes have a hard time going back to sleep.  Snoogle pillow is finally helping out some with getting comfortable.

Best moment last week:  Ultrasound!  The anatomy scan was absolutely amazing.  They checked for all the main organs, blood flow in and out of the heart, things in the brain, etc.  Everything was perfect.  We could see our little boy's mouth moving like he was chewing.  His heart was pumping away and he was squirming all over the place!  The tech had a hard time getting some good pictures because he was so wiggly.  On the left his a face/body shot and on the right is his tiny little hand.  They estimated that he was measuring 4 days ahead at 21 weeks and weighs approximately 1 pound!

Movement: Movement has picked up over the last week or so.  Pretty much since the a/s.  Love feeling him every day!

Cravings:  Still loving fruit! No other cravings that I can really think of.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Not being so tired at night.  I feel so worn down!

What I am looking forward to: Shopping for paint and carpet.

Milestones: Perfect anatomy scan!

20 weeks...HALFWAY!

Baby is the size of a....Banana!!!

How far along: 20 weeks exactly!  I missed a post for 19 weeks.  Whoops!

Physical symptoms: Appetite is still come and go.  I have this pain in my right thigh.  My OB said it is the result of an irritate nerve and there's nothing that can be done.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost another pound (down 5 pounds total) according to my OB's scale.

Maternity clothes: Nothing new really.  I did get some Boubeads finally!  See pic below.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: I have a hard time getting comfortable.  I know it will only get worse.  I got a snoogle pillow awhile ago, but I move around so much that it always gets tangled between my legs.  Going from a back/stomach sleeper to side is not fun!

Best moment last week:  This past week I've been working diligently on the baby nursery stuff.  I decided I was going to make all of the bedding.  So far I've made 2 pillows, a blanket, a crib skirt, and a valence.  It's turning out awesome!

I also had an OB appointment yesterday.  Baby's HB was 125 and everything checked out good.  I was supposed to have an ultrasound, but the tech was out sick.  It is rescheduled for Monday.

Movement: Still feeling baby daily, but not all day or anything yet.  Love that feeling already!

Cravings:  Still loving fruit! No other cravings that I can really think of.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Going out and doing things with friends.  I feel forgotten sometimes.

What I am looking forward to: Shopping for paint and carpet.

Milestones: Hitting the halfway point.  Working on the nursery!  Makes it feel a little more real.

18 weeks....kinda

Baby is the size of a....Sweet Potato!!!

How far along: 18 weeks, 6 days.  OMG I have been an awful blogger!  Still in the 18th week though lol!

Physical symptoms: Appetite has come back over the last couple of days, so that's good.  Other than that feeling pretty good.  My belly feels huge though!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I'm up a couple pounds (2-3).  I need to weigh myself tomorrow.

Maternity clothes: In all maternity stuff at this point except for my black pants that were huge before I got pregnant.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleeping is getting a bit more uncomfortable.  I keep waking up on my back.  I know at some point that's not safe, but I hope it's ok for now....

Best moment last week:  We worked on our registry and scanned stuff at BRU.  Holy overwhelming but fun to see all the stuff!  I also totally popped this week.  There is a noticable difference between my 17 week and my 18 week pictures.

Movement: Still feeling baby daily, but not all day or anything yet.  Love that feeling already!

Cravings:  Still loving fruit!  Sweet tooth is back a bit in the last couple days.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal
What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Within the next week I am going to decide on the nursery decor.  Then we can shop for paint and carpet!

Milestones: Still feel like every day is a milestone.  Some IFers that I keep in contact with have had it rough lately, and it is a tough reminder of what I went through.  But it also makes me forever thankful that I am here with a baby growing inside me.

17 weeks and THE BIG REVEAL

Baby is the size of an....ONION!!!

How far along: 17 weeks, 3 days

Physical symptoms: I'm feeling pretty good.  I really don't have much of an appetite though.  Sometimes I forget to eat or nothing sounds good.  I hope I'm giving baby enough to eat!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I think I'm up 1ish pound.

Maternity clothes: Actually starting to fill them out a bit with a real live bump!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleeping ok.  I still wake up a lot during the night but let's be honest, that was going on before I was pregnant lol!

Best moment last week:  On Sunday was the big reveal.  Is baby a BOY or a GIRL????  The party was amazing.  Parents, grandparents, MIL, and closest friends were there.  My friends who did the party did an amazing job.  Everything was decorated in blue and pink, including a sweets table and a divided drink dispenser with blue and pink juice!  We played a fun relay game and a old wives tale game that said the baby would be a boy.  And then it was time to CUT THE CAKE!!!  The answer was inside with either pink or blue frosting.  Baby Twinkle is a.....

Seeing Johnnie's face and happiness was truly amazing.  He has wanted a boy from the get go, so it was wonderful to see him so happy.  He tied a blue balloon to his belt loop and kept it on the rest of the day lol!

Movement: Still feeling baby almost every day.  Especially after lunch if I'm sitting quietly in my office or at night when I'm laying in bed.

Cravings:  Still loving fruit!

Gender: See above.  IT'S A BOY!!!!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal
What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Making big decisions!  Nursery decor, paint colors, and new carpet are up next.  And registering within the next month!

Milestones: Finding out the sex...I'M GROWING A PEEN IN THERE!

16 weeks

16 weeks:  Baby is the size of an....AVOCADO!!!

How far along: 16 weeks, 3 days

Physical symptoms: Feeling good!  I slept really great last night and I'm definitely not as tired anymore.  Also have stopped dry heaving in the mornings!  WOOT!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Um at my OB appointment it appeared that I lost 4 pounds.  According to my home scale today, I've lost about 2.  Wowzers!

Maternity clothes: Pretty much in them most of the time.  My black dress pants still fit, but they were pretty big before I got pregnant.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Sleeping better.  It's really cold in my bedroom, but I used my electric blanket on low setting last night to take care of the chill and I slept great!

Best moment last week:  Went with Jorie and Betsy to BRU and BBB.  I got to take a look at some of the items that I have been looking at online.  Picked out a stroller that will be a shower gift and a diaper bag!  I also had an OB appointment on 11/19.  Everything looks perfect!  Bloodwork and blood pressure are both normal.  They also called today with my quad screening results...test was normal and baby has very low risk for tubal defects!

Movement: I'm 95% sure I'm definitely feeling movement.  Especially at night when I'm laying in bed.  Today I think I felt something when I was sitting quietly in my office.  It is seriously the most amazing feeling ever.  One of these days I'll stop tearing up every time it happens!

Cravings:  Cantaloupe.  How weird!

Gender: Will know on 12/1!  Less than a week away!  Someone said that my fruit cravings mean a boy.  We shall see!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Revel party on Dec 1!

Milestones: Definitely feeling movement.  In maternity clothes.  Passing OB appointments with flying colors!

15 weeks

Baby is the size of an....ORANGE!

How far along: 15 weeks, 2 days

Physical symptoms: I've felt pretty good the last couple of days.  Less gagging/dry heaving in the mornings.  Still getting pretty tired at night, but that wasn't unusual even before pregnancy lol.  Hopefully this is the 2nd tri feel goods that I hear about!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Avoided the scale again this week.  Just continuing to hope I haven't gained much!

Maternity clothes: I love maternity clothes!  So comfy!  Why do they even make real jeans?!?!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: I'd say I'm sleeping a little better.  Still getting up every night to pee, but going to sleep is a bit easier.  I also got a snoogle pillow and it ROCKS!

Best moment last week:  I went to Babies R Us and test drove some diaper bags.  It was really fun to look at stuff and realize that I'm actually going to need it!  Oh, I MAYBE felt movement.  Maybe.

Movement: I've felt some flutters here and there.  I know it could totally be gas.  But it could also totally be baby...

Cravings:  All I've wanted the past couple of days is a PB&J.  Had one tonight with a big glass of milk.  SOOOOO good!

Gender: I JUST WANT TO KNOW!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: I have an OB appointment on Tuesday, so hoping everything checks out good.  And of course the reveal party on Dec 1!

Milestones: Maybe possibly feeling movement?

Oh and 1 more thing....

14 weeks

Baby is the size of a ....LIME!

How far along: 14 weeks, 2 days

Physical symptoms: I've had more nausea this past week than the entire previous 13 weeks!  I even threw up in the shower one morning (gross!).  The other mornings have been some dry heaving.  I thought symptoms were supposed to be going away at this point?  This morning was good, so hopefully that's the start of something!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I finally got on the scale.  OMG I have gained less than a pound! YAY!

Maternity clothes: I wore my super good deal gap maternity jeans yesterday and today.  So comfy!  I may never go back!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: I'd say I'm sleeping a little better.  Still getting up every night to pee, but going to sleep is a bit easier.

Best moment last week:  I haven't been quite as tired, so yesterday and today I went out with friends instead of sticking at home on the couch.  It was nice!

Movement: Still nothing obviously.  Sill using the doppler pretty regularly!  Baby is so easy to find now that he/she is bigger.

Food cravings: I really really really really really really really really really want a Steak N' Shake milkshake.  A friend mentioned it yesterday and now I can't stop thinking about it.  And there's a coupon in the paper today for buy one get on free.  Hopefully Johnnie will make a run tonight!

Gender: Still feeling girl.  Johnnie SO wants a boy though.  Makes me more on the fence :)

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Looking forward to getting the results from the Harmony test sometime this week.  And of course the big reveal on 12/1/13!

Milestones:  Pants are getting tight!  Every single day I can't even believe this is real.

13 weeks...2nd tri!!!

Baby is the size of a ....PEACH!

How far along: 13 weeks, 2 days

Physical symptoms: Yesterday was pretty rough with being super tired and nauseous.  Absolutely no appetite.  That happened a couple days this week.  Today I feel pretty good though!  Hopefully this is the start of this 2nd tri energy burse I've heard so much about!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still avoiding the scale.

Maternity clothes: Some of my clothes are getting a little tight. The maternity shirts are super long and comfy! I'm sure I don't NEED maternity stuff yet, but I do have to use the rubber band trick with my khaki pants.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Hopefully this time chage doesn't through things off!

Best moment last week:  Hitting 2nd trimester!  Also my friends are planning a gender reveal party.  Should be fun!

MovementObviously not feeling anything yet. BUT I can hear when the baby moves on the doppler! It sounds like clunks!

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not. I'm really liking milk.

Gender: Still feeling girl.  Johnnie SO wants a boy though.  Makes me more on the fence :)

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Nothing right now.  Really just enjoying being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: My friends are planning a very small gender reveal party.  This is the only way that Johnnie would find out the sex before the birth.  He wanted something "fun and spontanous" lol.  Typical.  The party is scheduled for December 1st!  I'm going to know my baby's sex in less than a month!  AHHHHH!

Milestones: Hitting 2nd trimester!!

Hi Twinkle!

I got a couple requests for more doppler videos.  Figured it was about time since it does sound way different from the early video.  The doppler is getting CRAZY!  You can hear clunks that are clearly twinkle wiggling about!  Here's today's doppler.  I'm 12w4d.  I didn't move the wand at all, so all of that is twinkle moving!  <3 <3 <3 this beautiful sound!

12 Weeks

Baby is the size of a Plum...

How far along: 12 weeks, 3 days

Physical symptoms: Still pretty tired a lot of the time. Less irritable than before, but it's still there. Still nauseous some in the middle of the night, but less than last week. Still irritable and tired.

Nausea at night has been a little better, so I'm sleeping a little better.

Best moment last week: Having a great OB appointment and making it Facebook official! Now it's not a secret anymore :)

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything yet. BUT I can hear when the baby moves on the doppler! It sounds like clunks!

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not. I'm really liking milk.

Gender: Still feeling girl. The heartbeat was pretty high at my OB appointment (154 bpm), which means GIRL!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Having drinks with friends. I went to a campfire on Friday night and a wedding on Saturday night. Both were drinking events. I still had a good time, it was just different.

What I am looking forward to: I'm having the Harmony test done, so in just over 2 weeks the baby's SEX will be known! I have agreed to allow my friends to plan a SMALL gender reveal party, so that will be super fun and exciting. Date TBD.

Milestones: Making it Facebook official and seeing the OB like a regular pregnant person!

Wednesday, October 23, 2013

You're famous!

Twinkle, you're FACEBOOK famous!  Now the world knows that you exist! We made our pregnancy Facebook official today!  It seriously took me over an hour to push post.  I can't believe this is real!  Now I'm ugly crying reading all of the wonderful comments on the post.  We are truly blessed to have such amazing friends and family.  Here is our announcement photo:

I also had my first OB appointment today.  She was really excited to see me!  I had to wait forever because she was at the hospital to possibly deliver a 26 weeker.  Luckily she made it to see me, which meant that baby didn't come.  My blood pressure was 128/82, so all good.  I was worried because it was a bit high during my last intralipid transfusion.  Dr. found the heartbeat on the doppler and it was 154.  Had swabs taken for infectious disease and blood drawn.  Other than that, just general pregnancy education stuff.  My next appointment is 11/19/13.  It is seriously SO WEIRD being a normal pregnant person!

11 weeks

Baby is the size of a Lime...

How far along: 11 weeks, 2 days

Physical symptoms: Still irritable and tired.  Still nauseous in the middle of the night almost every night.  The last 3 days or so I've had some major food aversions.  I think something sounds good and then it gets in front of me and I can't eat it.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still avoiding the scale.

Maternity clothes: I've worn a couple maternity shirts just because they are super long and comfy.  I've been getting more bloated in the afternoon/evenings and my pants are getting tight then.  I did take a bloat picture this week last Wednesday.
Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Getting up at least once a night to pee.  Been nauseous in the night so that makes it tough to go back to sleep.

Best moment last week: I told my grandparents!  My grandma was so afraid she would never be a great-grandmother.  We cried.  They are so excited!   I also got the crib picked up that I bought and I seriously LOVE it!

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything yet.  BUT I can hear when the baby moves on the doppler!  It sounds like clunks!
Bloat!

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not.  I'm really liking milk.  Food aversions are there though!

Gender: Still feeling girl.  Some old wives tale predictors have said boy!

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running and wine.

What I am looking forward to: I'm going to make my big Facebook announcement on Wednesday.  I also have my first OB appointment on Wednesday!  Woot!

Milestones:  Seriously every day feels like a milestone. Every day I'm more pregnant than I've ever been.  It's really real!

10 weeks

Baby is the size of a Prune...

How far along: 10 weeks, 1 day (Yup, I'm late again)

Physical symptoms: Still irritable and tired.  I've been nauseous in the middle of the night when I get up to go to the bathroom.  Still gassy.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still avoiding the scale.

Maternity clothes: I've worn a couple maternity shirts just because they are super long and comfy.  I've been getting more bloated in the afternoon/evenings and my pants are getting tight then.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Getting up at least once a night to pee.  Been nauseous in the night so that makes it tough to go back to sleep.

Best moment last week: I got my doppler on Friday and found the heartbeat!  Welcome to my new obsession!  Ignore the number reading.  The sound was too light for it to pick up properly.

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything yet.

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not.  I'm really liking milk.

Gender: Still feeling girl, but more unsure recently.

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running and wine.

What I am looking forward to: Actually getting a bump!

Milestones: As of Friday I am off all meds except for my prenatal vitamin.  I'm officially a normal pregnant person!  WOOT!  I also made my first big baby purchase today.  I bought a crib from a baby/kids Facebook group.  It's just over a year old and retails now for $250.  I got it for $140!  She's also including the mattress and bedding, which I don't want to use so I will promptly sell.  So I'm hoping with selling those things I'll come out to spend about $100, which is conveniently what I'm trying to sell my computer desk for.  Exciting stuff lol!

Come on Twinkle!

Dear Twinkle,

What happened to the nice little arrangement we had going?  You were nice and quiet, mommy was feeling good.  Now you make mommy super tired!  Why you no like hot things?  First the hot wings and now the jalapeno peppers.  Don't you know that mommy likes hot things????  We really need to get back to our original arrangement. Ok?  OK!  Good talk.

Love,
Mommy

Reconnecting

An old friend posted on Facebook a few days ago that she is pregnant.  She is due 8 days before me.  I contacted her on Facebook and then we met up tonight and went for a 2 mile walk.  It was really nice to talk to her again and catch up.  And it's nice to have a walking buddy since my other friend has been super busy with work these days.  We're going walking again tomorrow!  It will be fun to have someone that is pregnant too to share experiences with.

In other news, my OB's office initially did not want to see me for 7 weeks.  I would be 16 weeks by that time!  My RE's nurse said that didn't sound right and I should be seen sooner.  I was nervous too since I've had zero pregnancy education.  I'm super good at all of the trying to get pregnant stuff, but I know nothing about being pregnant!  I called and got them to switch the appointment to Oct 23!  WOOT!  Much better.

I told my boss today.  She was very happy for me, which was nice.  She also told me about the sick leave bank (she is on the committee) that might be able to help with the few days that I'm going to be short on vacation/sick time to make it to 6 weeks off.  I'd ultimately like to take 8 weeks, so we'll see.  It still makes me sad to think about the 14 weeks of sick time that I left at my old job, but I know I have a much better quality of life with the change and will have way more time for a baby and having a family.  I also went into my old office today and talked to my old boss.  Told her too and she was BEYOND excited.  She said she always thought that as soon as I left it would happen.  She was right!  She knew about our IF and treatments and has always been supportive.  I appreciate so much how even though me leaving sucked (still sucks) for her, she is so happy for me doing what I needed to do for myself.  Good lady right there :)

9 weeks

Baby is the size of an Olive...

How far along: 9 weeks, 1 day (sorry, I'm a day late!)

Physical symptoms: Still pretty irritable and tired.  Those are the only consistent things.  I've had a couple episodes of really painful, out of control gas.  Ugh.  Overall though, symptoms are pretty mild compared to what they could be.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I conveniently forgot to weigh myself ;)

Maternity clothes: Not needed yet, but some of the shirts from my hook up from Jorie are super comfy!  I need to focus on pants.  That is going to be difficult.

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Getting up at least once a night to pee, but going back to sleep better.

Best moment last week: My 9 week ultrasound yesterday was
simply amazing.  Baby looks like a gummy bear.  My RE pointed out the 2 chambers that are visible in the heart and obviously you could see it pumping away.  Heart rate was 174.  Dr. said it is so high when they are this size because they are wiggling!  Baby has 2 arms and 2 legs.  He showed me where the straight spine was.  Then he said he only wants to see me one more time...with my baby in my arms.  Tears!  He says they love to see the babies after they come!  More hugs and then he was off to help the next couple who was there just starting their journey.  They looked so scared and I just wanted to hug them!  Johnnie couldn't be there, but he oodled over the pictures in amazement.  I love seeing him so excited!

Movement: Obviously not feeling anything, but SAW little one wiggling away on the ultrasound!

Food cravings: Nothing really. Some days I'm super hungry and some days I'm not.

Gender: Still feeling girl, but more unsure recently.

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running and wine.

What I am looking forward to: Actually getting a bump!

Milestones: I officially graduated from the RE yesterday.  What a bittersweet moment!  I had my ultrasound first and then my last round of intralipids.  While I was sitting in the cell phone fortress doing intralipids (we shall not talk about the fact that it took 4 attempts for the IV, one of which was going for 45 minutes before we had to change locations), all the nurses and staff came back to see my ultrasound pictures and wish me well.  Cue tears AGAIN!  It so weird to be sent off to the land of normal pregnant women.   I have 1 more week of PIO, progesterone suppositories, and estrogen shots.  I'm weaning the steroid this week, too.  So as of next Friday, all I will take each day is my prenatal.  Holy smokes shit is real!

Holy bloating batman

Ummm, omg!  The bloating and gas is seriously out. of. control.  I had to unbutton my pants while I was sitting at my desk at work today.  Oye ve!  Last week I had to go 4 1/2 hours each way out of town for a court hearing for work.  Of course that day baby Twinkle says, hey, let's make mommy nauseous today!  Not cool Twinkle, not cool.

3 more sleeps until ultrasound #2.  Still nervous, but definitely more on the excited side.  Especially now that I have some more symptoms, I'm more confident about things.  Johnnie can't go, which gives me the sadsies.  As long as everything checks out good, I'll be getting instructions for stopping meds (yay!) and graduate from the RE (yay and boo!).

A big huge thanks to Jorie who came to visit this weekend!  Not only was it wonderful to see her, but she helped me clean out the future nursery.  Holy crap I have a lot of crap!  After a couple trips to the dumpster and to Goodwill, it looks a million times better.  Next project is to organize the garage so that the big shelf from the nursery closet can be moved down there.  Not looking forward to that project...

Jorie also brought me some maternity clothes (some still with tags!) and I totally scored by finding some long dress pants at Clothes Mentor.  Jorie also sent me a crazy picture of a closet at her parents house where she has been hoarding baby stuff.  Evidence of crazy right there!  But Twinkle is going to be spoiled.

I was talking to my mom yesterday about baby stuff and she offered to help out with daycare a couple days a week.  She unexpectedly retired this year (teacher).  I feel so blessed!  Daycare costs is something that freaks me out.  Between her and Johnnie being off on Thursday's, we should only need daycare 2 days per week.  YAY!

Lastly, I worked on my Pinterest project!  I made a chalkboard for taking weekly bump pictures.  I think it turned out well!  I got the mirror for $15 from a classifieds facebook group.  A little spray paint and Viola!  Clearly the wind was a little problematic, hence all of the items holding down the bag.

8 weeks

Baby is the size of a Rasberry...

P.S. I totally wrote this post yesterday at work, but was having problems with the pictures.  I forgot last night to post it!

How far along: 8 weeks. No bump yet but I took a picture anyways (see below).

Physical symptoms: The last 3 days or so have been rough. Irritability is out of control. I cried over a fly that was bothering me when I was trying to rest on the couch. Nausea has kicked in several times thoughout the day. So. Tired. Went to bed at 9pm last night and it felt like 2am! All in all though, I'll take it! Still enjoying every minute :)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Can we delete this question?

Maternity clothes: Obviously don't need any yet. But...I found a couple shirts on the clearance at Target. Then I went to a couple upscale thrift stores and SCORED big! I got a couple more shirts for super cheap and then an Old Navy pea coat for $5. $5!!!! Super proud of my bargain find :)

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Doing ok. Getting up at least once a night to pee, but going back to sleep better.

Best moment last week: Finally getting some symptoms. Does that count?

Movement: Um, no

Food cravings: Nothing really. Having a super hungry day today so far.

Gender: Still feeling girl.

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running

What I am looking forward to: Next ultrasound is 10/4!

Milestones: Finally getting some symptoms and actually feeling pregnant!

Do you believe in signs?

2013 Perseid Meteor Shower
I don't, usually. But there have been a few things lately that make me go hmmmmm. I wish I had kept track of them as they were happening because I only remember a couple now. They all seem to revolve around stars. The "shooting stars" was the name of the August cycle group on the infertility board on The Bump. The name was chosen because of the Perseid meteor shower that happened in August. When I was texting with a friend about my first beta, she sent back a little picture of a shooting star and a big congratulations. She had no idea about the shooting star group. And then yesterday we went to Johnnie's parents house to watch the Bears game. they gave us a picture frame that says "we wished upon a star and here you are." It's perfect. On a similar note, I've been wracking my brain trying to think of a little nickname to call the baby while he/she is on the inside. So far all I've come up with is Twinkle. I'm open to suggestions :) I haven't asked Johnnie yet what he thinks. He'll probably think I'm insane for wanting a nickname. Oh well!

7 weeks

Baby is the size of a blueberry...

 How far along: 7 weeks

Physical symptoms: Still feeling pretty good.  This week I had a couple days of extreme extreme hunger.  I was eating Oreos in bed.  I've been going to bed about an hour earlier than usual.  There have been a couple times that my tummy hasn't felt quite right, but I wouldn't call it nausea.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Finally stepped on that scale today.  Was expecting a major gain because I've been eating non stop.  Only up 1.8 pounds since I got my BFP more than 3 weeks ago.  I'll take it!

Maternity clothes: None.  Jorie is coming next weekend and bringing me some.  Not that I'll need them for awhile, but YAY!

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: Been doing ok.  Still waking up in the night, but it has been easier to go back to sleep.

Best moment last week. Obviously the ultrasound.  What an amazing experience!  Johnnie and I both were crying with tears of joy and amazement!

Movement: Um, no

Food cravings: Want. Food. NOW.

Gender: Still feeling girl.

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Wine and going out to the bar with friends.

What I am looking forward to: Next ultrasound is 10/4!

Milestones: Most pregnant I've ever been and heartbeat ultrasound!

I HAVE A BEAN!

OMG OMG OMG SQUEEEEE!!  I have a bean!  RE said everything is perfect. Measuring 6 weeks, 6 days exactly.  Not only did we see the heart beating away at 128 bpm, but we heard it too.  The picture on the bottom shows the heart beat pattern.  I am in awe. We both cried. RE said the sac looks perfect with no signs of bleeding. He said at this point the miscarriage rate is less than 2%. It still seems kind of early for that low of a percentage, but I'll take it with no complaints!

I go back on 10/4 for another ultrasound and my second round of intralipids.  As long as all is well, I will graduate from the RE that day and move on to my OB.

THERE'S REALLY A BABY IN THERE!

ONE SLEEP

Holy smokes I don't even know what to do with myself!  Tomorrow is ultrasound!  EEEEEK!  I'm trying to remain calm, but I am so. not. calm.  Yesterday and today I have been ravenously hungry.  And if I don't eat (because I just ate, like 30 minutes ago), I want to throw up.  Last night I was feeling really good about this because FINALLY A SYMPTOM.  Then BAM, got up in the night to pee and there was spotting.  Logic says it's from the progesterone suppositories, especially since it has not continued.  But really could do without that at this point!

Either way tomorrow we will know.  We'll know whether or not this is a viable pregnancy with a heartbeat.  Is there a little person growing inside?  AHHHHHH!

Ultrasound changed! 2 sleeps!

Ultrasound is now Thursday instead of Friday! Eeeek! Husband really wants to go and he was having a hard time getting away from work on Friday. Andplusalso, I have to be 1 1/2 hours out of town for a work meeting at 10:30 on Friday, so I was going to be super late to that. So now it's 1:15 on Thursday. 2 sleeps! OMG!

Still nothing

Still feeling nothing. Blah! I know people think I'm crazy, but give me some symptoms please! At 6 weeks, 3 days, I should be feeling something! I have now completely convinced myself that this is not real and the ultrasound on Friday is not going to go well. I know I should be having some hope and a positive attitude, but today I really have none. How can my boobs not even hurt? Shouldn't all of the progesterone that I'm on at least be making them hurt?!?! Speaking of progesterone, PIO is seriously the devil. My hips look like a bruised pin coushin. It burns now going in because it's so sore from all the shots. Yuck!

I pretty much did nothing all weekend. I did laundry, but even that is still on a pile on the couch waiting to be folded. I had planned to clean out a closet or two, but nope! Nothing. Found some Lifetime movies and vegged out. The Bears won again, so that was fun! Since the Bears have won the first 2 games in a row, apparently Johnnie thinks that means that he cannot wash his Bears attire that he has been wearing for the games, or else it will be bad luck and they will lose. WTF is that? So gross! Weirdo...

6 weeks

Stretch marks: Yes, but not from pregnancy lol!

Sleep: Been doing ok.  Still waking up in the night, but it has been easier to go back to sleep.

Best moment last week. Passing the milestone of my chemical pregnancy (5 weeks, 3 days)

Food cravings: None, but I've still been hungrier than usual.

Gender: Still feeling girl.

Labor signs: Um, I would hope none!

Belly button: Normal

What I miss: Running.

Milestones: Most pregnant I've ever been!

Great IF article!

This article has been circling around the online IF community that I am a part of.  It is so incredibly true.  Infertility article.  Please read and share!

Not a lot else is going on.  Just counting the days until ultrasound.  I've been ravenously hungry the last couple days.  Otherwise I still feel normal.  5 weeks, 5 days.

11 sleeps

11 sleeps.  11 sleeps until ultrasound.  Nurse L was not concerned when I reported yesterday's bleeding.  I know this should make me feel better, but she's rarely concerned.  It took her 5 hours to call me back and she said she would note it on my chart.  Super helpful.  Oh well.  There has been nothing more today, so I'm trying to not worry about it.  Only time will tell and I can't do anything to change the outcome anyways.

I got a fun, big mirror today from the classifieds.  $15!!!  Total steal.  I'm going to make it into a chalkboard for those fun weekly bump progression pictures.  Got all the paint and was all excited to work on it tonight.  The mirror is still in my car because it weighs over 10 pounds and I can't lift it and husband is working.  Fail.  Hopefully I can get it in here tomorrow to work on it!

Spotting

Got up this morning in a pretty good place.  Woke up super early and made a run to Walgreens for another package of the Clear Blue Digital with Conception Indicator pee sticks.  Took one last Monday and again 2 days ago at 5 weeks exactly, and it said "2-3."  The blooklet said that means 4-5 weeks pregnant.  Pretty on target.  Decided to see what 2 days would bring and got this:

Relief!  The "3+" means 5+ weeks pregnant.  Perfect!  But my good mood did not last for long....

I went back to bed for a little bit and when I got up around 9:30 AM and went to the bathroom, there was blood.  Commence freak out.  It was red and brown, and enough that it got on my shorts.  Took a shower and put on a liner.  It's  6PM now and there hasn't been any more.  No cramping or anything.  Still not feeling any symptoms though.  I hope this is nothing.  Really really hope it's nothing.  This is the one thing that hadn't happened yet.  Ugh.  Will give my RE a call tomorrow just to let them know.

The Bears won today.  WOOHOO!  The puppies enjoyed the game and got into the spirit:

Also, something happened with my new blog design and my fixing powers are not working.  BOOO!  Will have to keep trying!

Not Feeling Pregnant

Yesterday I felt like poo all day.  It sucked, but I was a little excited that symptoms were finally here.  Today, back to feeling completely normal.  WTF?  So I'm back to googling ridiculous things.  9/20 and the ultrasound cannot get here soon enough!  The PIO is also kicking my ass (literally).  I have welts and an itchy rash.  Ugh.

I was supposed to go to Ikea with my mom today.  She's sick so we couldn't go.  I was really disappointed because 1) It's Ikea.  2) It was going to make the day go by fast.  3) I was going to get to see Jorie and Aiden.  Hopefully we'll get to try to go again soon!

I therefore spent the morning redesigning the template of my blog.  Pretty satisfied with out how turned out!

Happy Saturday!
